Each competition is over either the front 9 or the back 9 of one golf course on a designated Q9Golf day - 2 matches per day. Tee times are booked on the website in the designated slots as a normal playing program for the club. Check your local course for their Q9Golf days.
Each competition is over 9 holes demanding a strategic, sharper, faster and more accurate round. Scoring is Individual Stableford and according to the course stroke ratings. However, because you are placed according to handicap divisions, and your best 3 scores on each of the front and back nine per season count, scoring is fair and equally competitive.
Six (6) Personal Best Individual Qualifying Scores each Season
Every season your 6 best rounds (3 front 9 and 3 back 9) will count to keep you at the top of the leader board in your division, so you can keep competing until the last round of the season. The Top 3 of each division in your club will go through to the Zone Finals.
Entries will be in six divisions:
Division A: 0 - 5
Division B: 6-10
Division C: 11-15
Division D: 16-20
Division E: 21-25
Division F: 25-30 maximum (higher handicaps may play off a 30).
This is the very best in the modern world of sport where limited time demands a faster shorter version of the game, while still retaining the purity of the sport and providing a reason to play and compete. But this time around Q9Golf rewards amateurs for playing consistent great golf according to the amateur rules.
With 6 divisions, and 3 finalists per division, every player at every club has the opportunity to qualify for a zone final.
The winners in each division at the national finals and wildcards are flown return and hosted at the Q9Golf World Super Series Championship. T&C’s apply – see rules.
Golfers are advised to check the scores of their 4-ball after this period against the scores they have recorded on their signed scorecard. If a different score has been entered, a player is requested to report the discrepancy immediately through the True Score Tab on the website.
Q9Golf will immediately confirm with all golfers in the 4-ball on the day and if it is proved in the majority that an incorrect score has been entered the player will be disqualified immediately with no refunds on any round played.
Each player in every Q9Holf Competition over 9 holes will be required to score the other three golfers. At the end of the round each player will sign the card of one other player after ensuring that all scores recorded are the same.
Golfers then have 48 hours to enter their score after which it will be penalized by 2 shots. Forty-eight (48) hours is calculated from midnight on the day played. e.g. Play on Wednesday anywhere in the country and the 48 hours expire at Midnight on Friday.
