A maximum of 36 per 9-hole competition per club on any Q9 day — nine four-ball starts per front and back nine. Club entries themselves are unlimited. Each club hosts a minimum of fifty Q9 days a season, providing 100 competitions of 9 holes each.
Top 3 in each division per club go to the Zone Final (18 golfers per club). Top 3 in each division from the Zone go to Nationals (180 qualifiers). The top 4 per division at the National Final — 24 golfers — travel as Team SA Q9Golf to the World Super Series.
The inaugural Q9Golf Super Series World Final will be played at an exotic international destination after the South African finalists have been announced — the next edition is scheduled for November.
Q9Golf appoints an independent team manager for the South African teams at the Q9Golf World Super Series.
On the way to the world finals, the top 3 golfers in each handicap division proceed from club to zone to national, and then the top 4 in each division go to the World Super Series — all based on Stableford scores. Four golfers per division also form the team identity for the World Final.
Every team wears a brand designed for the championship in a Super Series format. Q9Golf provides sponsored shirts, trousers, socks and blazers. Golf shoes and equipment are excluded.
Six groups of one team of four. The world final is played over six rounds of 9 holes each — three from the front and three from the back. There are six trophy categories plus an overall combined team trophy and individual trophies in each division.
All golfers play a minimum of 6 games each for an individual title and a total of 144 scores per team count for the overall champions.
Yes — Q9Golf is open to amateur golfers with an active HNA / SAGA handicap. We verify your handicap automatically when you register.
Yes — unlimited rounds per season. The more you play, the better your top 6 scores can become.
Yes, but each club runs its own Q9Golf league table and scores are not shared across clubs. Each club has the same qualifying criteria — a minimum of 3 front-9 and 3 back-9 rounds on that course.
Each 18-hole course runs as a separate Q9Golf championship with its own leaderboard, qualifiers and prize pool.
In the event of any wildcard draw at any stage of the championship — including the World Super Series team — only golfers who have played at least 12 rounds during the Q9Golf club qualifying stage at club level will be eligible.
